“When starting a sculpture I am
never quite sure how it will end up. I
always do lots of drawings and
maquettes, working through to the
final big sculpture which I model in
plaster then cast into bronze. My
sculptures are figures, birds and
animals. My studio working methods
have been most influenced by George
and David, two old friends who are
builders in my village. I am also
inspired by the physicality of the
bronze foundry.”
Christopher Marvell’s sculptures
are sited in public and private
locations in the U.K.,U.S.A.,France
Spain and Germany. He has
exhibited widely in Britain, often
with his partner, Elaine Pamphilon.
All sculptures made from bronze.
