John Pickering
John has pursued a passion for painting and fine art photography for twelve years, following a career as design director of a leading graphic design company.
The subject of his work may begin as an isolated and sometimes bleak landscape, yet an overall sense of balance and often mystery results from the graphic composition structuring these elements.
Using paint, the drawn line, photography and collage, sometimes simultaneously, to achieve refined and beautiful results, he distils a sense of the remote and serenity of atmosphere into paintings and compositions that epitomize the peace and solitude he absorbs as an artist -from the untamed, unspoilt and solitary environments he chooses to reflect in his work.
