Neil Canning

Neil was born in 1960 in Enstone, Oxfordshire, in 1990 he moved to Wales.  He now lives in Cornwall and has done so since 1997.           

In 1983 Neil became the youngest artist ever to be elected as an associate member of the Royal Society of British Artists.

Ten years later he won the bronze medal at the Paris Salon. Since then Neil has shown in Royal Academy Summer exhibitions and at major galleries in Britain including Beaux Arts, The Martin Tinney Gallery, New Millenium, Europ'Art, Geneva and Portland Gallery, London.

In 2011 Neil received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Exeter for 'an outstanding contribution to contemporary British Art and has also won the Discerning Eye Exhibition sponsored by ING bank.
